2. FPUAnet Expanding Throughout Fort Pierce
FPUAnet, a division of FPUA, is expanding its high-speed fiber internet in concert with the City of Fort Pierce 2024 Strategic Growth Plan and its shared SMART City initiative. FPUAnet now reaches over 1,500 parcels throughout Fort Pierce delivering fiber internet speeds customized for your home or business needs.

3. Wastewater Wednesdays: Weekly Updates
 FPUA launched Wastewater Wednesdays to provide progress updates on the new Mainland Wastewater Treatment Facility. Every Wednesday, visit the FPUA Facebook page or our new Wastewater Wednesdays page on SustainableSewer.net for another update about construction progress of the Sewer Treatment Plant that we’re currently building on Energy Lane. This project is a point of pride for local Fort Pierce, environmentalists, agencies, policymakers, and so much more, and we are excited to share the progress with you here.
4. Neighbor Spotlight on Community Engagement
FPUA proudly spotlights our neighbors, the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County. For over 30 years, the Boys and Girls Clubs have been dedicated to helping young people overcome challenges, build meaningful relationships, and develop essential life skills. The local Clubs provide academic and personal enrichment opportunities with activities and programs like: 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program, Mentoring/Student Assistance & School and Instructional Grants, and Pre-Collegiate Programs.
Parents can enroll their children into the Boys and Girls Clubs at any point during the 2024-2025 School Year.

5. FPUA Competes in Best Tasting Drinking Water Contest
FPUA Water Resources is honored to be selected First Runner-Up by an independent panel of judges in this year’s ‘Best Tasting Drinking Water Contest’ hosted by the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association FPUA is in Region VIII along with Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin and Okeechobee counties. The water is judged by a blind test, and evaluated for taste, odor, color and clarity. FPUA Water Resources department ensures that the quality of finished water production from our water treatment plants meets all federal and state drinking water requirements. |

We track outages on a public FPUA Outage Map so that you, our valued customers, can see the outages we are tracking and addressing. We also provide updates on Facebook and via e-mail, with text updates currently in development. We thank you for your patience and understanding during critical outages while our field crews work to safely restore your power as quickly as possible.
