Boat ramp to close at 40 Mile Bend for repairs
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will be repairing the boat ramp at 40 Mile Bend, near the S-12-A structure, in Miami-Dade County. This boat ramp provides access to the Everglades and Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area.
The boat ramp will be closed to public use while the FWC repairs the ramp. The FWC anticipates the closure to last one week, March 17 – March 24.
In the meantime, people should use boat ramps east of 40 Mile Bend. A map of these boat ramps is available online. Go to MyFWC.com/Boating and select “Boat Ramps & Access.” After clicking on “Public Boat Ramp Finder,” select “Map a County,” and then “Miami-Dade” from drop-down options.
