 CASES
Madison County
- Officer Specialist Vazquez and Senior Officer Humphrey were working an area where they had received a complaint about a subject trespassing with a firearm and possibly poaching. While the officers were conducting surveillance of the area, they observed a light sweeping the field and heard a single shot from the direction of the light. The officers attempted to apprehend the subject, who fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, the officers took the subject into custody. The subject was in possession of a single shot shotgun, which contained one spent cartridge still in the gun. The subject was arrested for trespass with a firearm, resisting officers without violence and for taking/attempting to take deer at night with gun and light.
 CASES
Brevard County
- Officer Barghouty observed an individual cast netting just west of the A1A Bridge while patrolling at Sebastian Inlet State Park. When the individual returned to his vehicle, he was observed hiding a bucket under the center of his vehicle. A resource inspection was conducted and the officer discovered two undersized snook taken with a cast net. The individual also did not have a valid saltwater fishing license or snook stamp. Appropriate law enforcement action was taken for the harvest of two undersized snook using an illegal method.
 CASES
