PermitMe License Transition Update

 

Greetings from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, 

 

Our records indicate you previously held or currently hold one or more permits administered through the PermitMe system. As you may recall, the FWC uses this web-based application for processing certain types of permit applications.  

 

In our ongoing efforts to streamline our permitting procedures, the FWC will be moving the application process for these permits from PermitMe to GoOutdoorsFlorida.com effective April 11, 2024. 

 

If your permit is currently valid, no immediate action is required on your part. However, if you plan to renew your permit or apply for a new one in the future, we want to ensure you are informed about this new process. All applications or renewals submitted after April 8, 2024, must be completed through the GoOutdoorsFlorida.com website. 

 

During the anticipated transition period of April 8-10, 2024, data records will be transferred between systems. During this time the PermitMe System will be temporarily unavailable, and while regular hunting and fishing licenses will be available as usual, applications for PermitMe permits within the GoOutdoorsFlorida.com system will not yet be available. Please plan accordingly. If you anticipate needing a renewal during this period, please submit your application before 5 p.m., April 7th. 

 

The FWC remains dedicated to enhancing customer service, and we believe this transition will simplify the application process, expedite responses from FWC staff regarding approvals and inquiries, and ultimately, improve efficiency. A follow-up email with additional application instructions will be sent out for each permit type when the system is live.
