Dear Alligator Harvest Permit Holder,

With the extension of the 2022 harvest period ending Dec. 15 at 11:59 p.m., we wanted to remind you about the requirement to submit your harvest reports and/or return any unused CITES tags to the FWC by Dec. 30, 2022. Meeting that requirement is essential to qualify for the opportunity to apply for an alligator harvest permit next year.

The best way to submit your harvest reports, or to check on the status of your returned tags or harvest reports, is by using our online CITES Tag Reporting System. This system is easy to use, will save you postage, and allows you to verify your harvest reports have been received. To access your records, you will need your FWC Customer ID number and date of birth. Your ID number is printed on the upper left side of your Alligator Trapping License and also can be found on your hunting and fishing licenses.

If you’d rather submit paper alligator harvest report forms and/or if you have any unused CITES tags to return, they must be mailed to the address below. See the following recommendations for returning unused tags:

  • Cut the large end from the CITES tag before mailing
  • Use a padded or cardboard envelope to ensure it is returned and not lost or damaged in transit
  • Make sure that proper postage is applied or your envelope may be returned
  • Use a delivery service with package tracking

Return unused CITES tags and paper harvest report forms to:

FWC Alligator Management Program 1239 S.W. 10th Street Ocala, FL 34471

The FWC does not have an online reporting form for unused CITES tags and unused tags must be returned to the FWC. However, you can check on the status of your returned CITES tags and harvest reports online.

Thank you for participating in the Statewide Alligator Harvest Program. For more information about alligators and alligator hunting, visit MyFWC.com/Alligator.
