Make plans to attend the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop in West Palm Beach
Register now to participate in the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) Feb. 7-9, 2020, Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop near West Palm Beach.
The weekend workshop, hosted at the Everglades Youth Conservation Camp, is open to anyone 18 years of age or older interested in developing a variety of outdoor skills. The workshop features expert instructors and safe, hands-on opportunities to learn about fishing, archery, paddling, hunting, nature photography, outdoor survival, boating, birdwatching and more.
The Everglades Youth Conservation Camp is in the J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area in northwest Palm Beach County. Cabins offer comfortable dormitory-style lodging with modern restroom facilities. Home-cooked meals are served in the cafeteria. Sessions begin Friday afternoon and end Sunday with lunch.
The cost to participate in the weekend workshop is $200. Partial scholarships are available for participants who qualify. Workshops are limited to 100 participants and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
