State Wildlife Grants, Rule Revisions

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

Dear Conservation Partners,

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is proposing to modify the Agency’s Grant Rule (68-1.003) to update the State Wildlife Grant Program Guidelines, Budget Form for Non-Commission Principal Investigators, and Application Form. Based on your interest in these grants and Florida’s Wildlife Legacy Initiative, we wanted to make you aware of these proposed changes.

Subsection 11 of Rule, 68-1.003 incorporates by reference Florida’s State Wildlife Grants Program Guidelines dated February 2019 as well as Budget Forms and an Application Form dated February 2017. Staff proposes that the rule incorporate newly updated Program Guidelines, Budget Form for Non-Commission Principal Investigators, and Application Form dated December 2019.

Revisions to these three documents will ensure applicants are using Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Standard Objectives used in the national Tracking and Reporting Accomplishments for the Conservation of Species (TRACS) system, address information needs regarding the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act, and clarify restrictions placed on funds by the Code of Federal Regulations (2 CFR 200).

Please feel free to forward to others who may be interested. If you have questions regarding the proposed rule updates or would like to see a draft of the updated documents, please contact:
