Lang and Eagle lakes reopen June 30
Eagle and Lang Lake Fish Management Areas at PotashCorp-White Springs will reopen June 30. The two lakes were temporarily closed April 14 because of low water levels.
According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) freshwater fish biologists, PotashCorp-White Springs officials requested that both FMAs be closed in April because the low water levels cause navigation difficulties and disturbance to the vegetation in shallow areas when the lakes are fished.
“With the recent rains, the water levels have risen and the lakes will once again be open to the public,” said FWC biologist Allen Martin.
