Dunedin Golf Club Grand Opening
Discover the restored Dunedin Golf Club! The City of Dunedin and Dunedin Golf Club cordially invite you to the official Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening of the Dunedin Golf Club's Donald Ross Course Restoration on Saturday, February 15 at the Dunedin Golf Club. Music and light refreshments will be provided at 8:30 a.m. with the ceremony beginning at 9 a.m. Originally designed by world-renowned golf course architect Donald Ross in 1927, the course has been beautifully restored by architect Kris Spence. We hope to see you there!

Library Closure on President's Day
The Dunedin Public Library and Branch Library will be closed Monday, February 17th - President's Day and Staff Training Day. No library items are due on closure dates. We will reopen Tuesday, February 18th at 9:30 a.m.

Funding for Home Elevation Now Available through the State
The Florida Division of Emergency Management announces Florida's first statewide Residential Mitigation program, Elevate Florida. The goal of this program is to enhance community resilience by mitigating private residences against natural hazards.
Through this initiative, eligible homeowners have the opportunity to elevate their homes with up to 75 percent of their costs covered. Other projects, including wind mitigation measures, will also be considered.

The Cuban Sandwich: A History in Layers with Andrew T. Huse and Jeff Houck
The Cuban sandwich has achieved worldwide fame, but in Florida, it is especially revered and contested. Join us at the library on Wednesday, February 19, at 7 p.m. to welcome author Andrew Huse as he traces the epic journey of the mixto, Cubano, and medianoche sandwiches from their hazy origins, through the cafés of Havana, and on to new lands. Huse explores how the crusty creation became a beloved symbol for a displaced people, won the hearts and mouths of America, and claimed a place on the world’s stage.
The event is sponsored by the Florida Humanities. Cuban sandwich samples will be available during the presentation, only whole supplies last. No registration is required.

 Welcome Back Blue Jays!
The City of Dunedin welcomes back the Toronto Blue Jays for Spring Training with a free open house event at TD Ballpark. All are welcome to attend!
The event kicks off with a golf cart parade coordinated by Dunedin Goes Carting. The parade will begin at the Mease Dunedin Parking Lot (New York Ave/Virginia St), continue through downtown Dunedin, and conclude at TD Ballpark. Golf carts will be judged by a panel, and the top winners will take home a prize.
This event is presented by City of Dunedin, Toronto Blue Jays, and Dunedin Goes Carting and is free for the whole family!
