After serving as a temporary debris collection site following Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Highlander Park has been cleared, lab tested and is ready to be restored back to its popular park status in time for the 2025 Highland Games!

Hope Spot Festival
Join us on February 8 for this free, eco-friendly, and zero-waste event celebrating the Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot! This family-friendly event highlights ocean conservation and sustainable practices. Enjoy art and craft vendors, live music, hands-on activities, live animals, and educational exhibits focused on sustainability, reducing plastic waste, protecting wildlife, and preserving the essential ocean ecosystems that support our lives.
This event is presented by City of Dunedin and Blue-Green Connections.

National Wear Red Day
February marks American Heart month. Did you know heart disease is the leading cause of death for women? Join us on Friday, February 7 for National Wear Red Day at the Dunedin Community Center. Come dressed in red and receive free all-day admission to the Fitness Center. This includes free access to Group Exercise classes, free health screenings from BayCare Community Health, and a free heart-healthy prize pack. Let's raise awareness together!

FDOT Shares Updates on Skinner Boulevard Improvements Project
Construction activities are progressing on the Skinner Boulevard Improvements Project from Alt US 19 to Bass Boulevard. This Complete Streets project includes reducing travel lanes, additional on street parking, constructing two roundabouts, and adding a multipurpose path connecting to the Pinellas Trail.

Red Cross Offers Financial Aid for Hurricane Damaged Homes
Was your home destroyed or seriously damaged from last year's hurricanes? If so, you may qualify for American Red Cross bridge financial assistance. These funds can be used to help offset the costs of recovery-related needs.
Red Cross workers will be available in person to help you enroll on February 7 through 8, and on February 10 at the Red Cross St. Petersburg Chapter Office, located at 818 4th St N. in St. Petersburg. You can stop by from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on each of those days for assistance. Be sure to bring your FEMA ID documentation to the site.

 Candy Heart Bingo
Head to the Dunedin Library on Saturday, February 8 at 11 a.m. for some old fashioned family fun! We'll play several games of bingo and use candy hearts to cover our cards! Participants will have the chance to win books and prizes, making it a great time for the whole family! No registration is required.

 Dunedin Golf Club Grand Opening
Discover the restored Dunedin Golf Club! The City of Dunedin and Dunedin Golf Club cordially invite you to the official Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening of the Dunedin Golf Club's Donald Ross Course Restoration on Saturday, February 15 at the Dunedin Golf Club. Music and light refreshments will be provided at 8:30 a.m. with the ceremony beginning at 9 a.m. Originally designed by world-renowned golf course architect Donald Ross in 1927, the course has been beautifully restored by architect Kris Spence. We hope to see you there!

2025 State of the City
Join us for the 2025 State of the City on Thursday, February 27, at Dunedin City Hall. Celebrate our community, reflect on 2024, and hear about the City's vision and priorities for 2025. Networking will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. A presentation will follow from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
No ticket is required for entry. This event is free and open to the public. The State of the City will also be livestreamed and available on demand on the City’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
