Fall Prevention Class: A Matter of Balance
Many older adults have concerns about falling and restricting their activities. The Hale Senior Activity Center, in partnership with the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, is offering a free "Fall Prevention Class: A Matter of Balance" for ages 60 and older on Fridays, Sept. 13 - Nov. 1 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. It's free to attend, but advance registration is required to reserve your spot. Traffic Calming is the combination of mainly physical measures that reduce speeds and improve safety. These physical changes to the roadway create a “feeling” that causes the driver to slow down. There are many tools in the toolbox for traffic calming. And just like real tools, some do the job better in some locations than others.

Garbage & Recycling Holiday Schedule
City Offices will be closed on Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day. Curbside Solid Waste and Recycling pickup will be on the following schedule: Monday collections will take place one day later on Tuesday. Tuesday collections will take place one day later on Wednesday.

Road Closure Along Louden Avenue
Work began on Force Main #10 along Louden Ave on Wednesday, August 28. They will be constructing block by block, starting between Wood Street and Scotland Street. Please follow the marked detour routes available.

The Dunedin Chamber of Commerce and the City of Dunedin are sponsoring a candidate forum for the November Dunedin municipal elections on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Hale Senior Activity Center, 330 Douglas Avenue. Duke Energy Begins Downtown Light Pole Replacement
The City of Dunedin is coordinated with Duke Energy to initiate replacement of the existing decorative light poles along some of the downtown and surrounding streets. The existing poles will be removed and replaced with black poles with a similar style glass globe fixture and energy efficient LED lighting.
