Onward to Scotland - City of Dunedin Pipe Band
Best of luck to the City of Dunedin Pipe Band in Scotland this month to compete in the European Championship in Perth on August 11, and the World Championships in Glasgow on August 16 and 17. They will compete amongst the best pipers and drummers in the world! And they will have local fans cheering for them as the Dunedin/Stirling Sister delegation is also in Scotland during this time fostering our Sister City relationship.

Vote for Dunedin - Best of the Bay Awards
The City of Dunedin has been nominated for several Best of the Bay awards including Best City, Best Beach Town, Downtown Dunedin Best Restaurant District, Downtown Dunedin Best Nightlife District, Best Nature Trail (Hammock Park), Best Public Park (Hammock Park), Best Library Branch, Best Community Center, Best Farmer's Market, and Best Mayor. You can also vote for many of your Dunedin favorites which have been nominated: arts, businesses, restaurants, experiences and places. The last day to cast your votes is August 31 at 11:59 p.m.

Intro to Kayak & Paddleboard
This beginner course will teach you the skills and techniques needed to successfully use a kayak and paddleboard. Classes are held Monday-Friday, August 19-23 from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. at the Dunedin Causeway. Participants must wear close-toed shoes, and bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, and water bottle. Registration must be completed by Thursday, August 15. or in person at . $105/Rec Card; $120/No Card.

Sister Cities Celebrates 60 Years
The sister city relationship between Dunedin and Stirling was conceived during a period when international partnerships were encouraged to promote global understanding and peace. The Sister Cities International movement, founded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956, aimed to foster peace and prosperity by creating bonds between people from different cities around the world. Dunedin’s selection of Stirling as a sister city was a natural choice, given the deep Scottish roots of Dunedin’s founders.

Dunedin Chamber of Commerce 2024 Candidate Forum
The Dunedin Chamber of Commerce and the City of Dunedin are sponsoring a candidate forum for the November Dunedin municipal elections on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Hale Senior Activity Center, 330 Douglas Avenue. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the program starting at 6:30 p.m.

Jay Walk Sidewalk Mural Public Art Dedication
The City of Dunedin invites you to a Public Art recognition ceremony for the "Jay Walk Sidewalk Mural" by artist Yhali llan on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at the TD Ballpark.
There will be a Dunedin Blue Jays game following the ribbon cutting! Tickets can be purchased here or at the box office.
