Every Friday in October Movies begin at dark $ Free to attend
Grab your blanket or chairs and enjoy an evening with your friends and family. Movies begin at dark and are shown on a large, outdoor movie screen with large speakers. Food and drink concessions will be available.

Our Dunedin Piper on the Pier returns Saturday, October 14! Come down to the Marina and watch the sunset while the Piper on the Pier plays "Amazing Grace" and other live bagpipe music.
Please note: Piper on the Pier will not take place on: Nov. 24, Dec. 2, 9, 23, 30, March 16, 29 and April 6.

Friday, October 27 6-8:00 pm $ Free to attend
Roads will be closed for children to safely trick or treat along Main Street and Broadway Avenue in downtown Dunedin. Participating merchants will provide candy and trinkets. Presented by City of Dunedin and Downtown Dunedin Merchants Association.

Halloween Happenings returns to Highlander Park in Dunedin! Don’t miss the spooktacular fun for all ages and families!
Activities: Haunted Hayrides, Boo in the Zoo, Costume Contests, Trunk-or-Treat, Carnival Games, Spooky Crafts, Bounce Houses, and DJ Music Jams.
Tickets: $5 Haunted Hayride $10 Wristband (includes all activities except Haunted Hayride)
Parking: $5 Parking (vehicles and golf carts). All golf carts must park in areas designated for vehicle parking. Park & Ride Jolley Trolley shuttle service is available at Dunedin High School.

Dunedin Parks & Recreation is looking for teens, adults, and non-profit/special interest groups to volunteer and help make our annual Halloween Happenings event on Sat, October 28 at Highlander Park a fun, successful, spooktacular experience for everyone! Over 100 volunteers are needed to help with Boo in the Zoo, carnival games, bounce houses, and Hayrides. Volunteers may also dress in costume!

Have fun making a Halloween deco mesh wreath. Wreaths begin at 14-inches and can be customized to end up being 16-20 inches in size. This is a beginner-friendly class, so the techniques taught will be easy to follow. All materials provided.

Wednesday, October 18 12 Noon
The Hale Senior Activity Center hosts monthly themed luncheons, providing a great opportunity for people aged 50 and over to socialize and have fun while enjoying a delicious lunch. This month's theme is "Witches & Warlocks." Participants are encouraged to dress up in Halloween costumes.

Wednesday, October 18 3:00 pm
Put on your dancing shoes and join us! The Dunedin 3 O'clock Big Band returns to the Hale Senior Activity Center on October 18 at 3:00 pm. Enjoy the music of Duke Ellington and dance styles including swing, ballads, waltzes, polkas, and Latin music. This 18-piece Big Band is led by Bob Springer who led the U.S. Air Force Band and played in Broadway Shows for over 20 years. Have fun dancing, socializing, and meeting new people. Next dance and concert is Nov. 15 and Dec. 13.
$5 at the door. Couples and singles welcome.

Capture the holiday spirit by visiting the Pinewood Estate, a 20-room Mediterranean style mansion. Witness beautiful displays of poinsettias, amaryllis and bromeliads throughout the garden designed by renowned architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. Enjoy a 1-hour guided tour with a holiday music concert on the Singling Tower Carillon.

Fee includes bus transportation which leaves from/return to Hale Senior Activity Center. Lunch is on your own at Blue Palmetto Café or you may bring your own.

This drop-in program provides a weekly opportunity for tweens, teens, and young adults with sensory, developmental or physical disabilities to explore and utilize the MLK, Jr. Recreation Center exclusively. Participants can enjoy video games, billiards, ping pong, indoor basketball, and crafts.

Tuesday, October 17 6:30-7:30 pm
This month, we have a fun craft for ages 7-12 called "Masking-Pattern Painting." It's a fun way for kids to explore their creativity, and they'll take home their own unique piece of art. No artistic experience needed as we explore different mediums of expression and encourage your child's inner artist to shine through. Additional dates and projects include Nov. 14 (Fall-themed Lava Rocks), and Dec. 19 (Christmas Tree String Art).

School may be out, but play is in! When your kids have days off from school, we have your childcare covered. Join us for a full day of games, crafts, activities and fun.

We're inviting kids, ages 9-14, to join us for a fun Multiplayer Gaming Night. It's a chance for you to show off your gaming skills and have a blast! Compete to be the best and enjoy tournament prizes and Oreo Dunkers snack while playing Mario Cart.
