City of Dunedin Working To Remove Water Intrusion Related Debris From Impacted Neighborhoods
City of Dunedin is working with contractors to collect and dispose of water intrusion-related debris from last week’s Hurricane flooding. We will have more details and the collection schedule by the end of the week. Meanwhile – please check our website for information and updates at: www.dunedingov.com/hurricane or call 727-298-3215.
This City visited neighborhoods and left notices on those homes that were assessed and deemed to have damage from flood water intrusion. If you did not receive a notice, please contact the Community Development Department at 727-298-3210 for an assessment of your property.
Update for Hazardous Waste
Hazardous Waste, which includes rechargeable batteries, paint, fluorescent light bulbs, and household, automotive, and garden chemicals will need to be taken to a Pinellas County drop off location.
The North County Hazardous Waste Collections Center at 29582 US 19 North, Clearwater, FL 33761 has two upcoming collections dates:
- September 23, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- October 14, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Business Damage Survey
Yesterday, FloridaCommerce and the State Emergency Response Team (SERT) activated the Business Damage Assessment Survey in response to Hurricane Idalia. Survey responses will allow the state to expedite Hurricane Idalia recovery efforts by gathering data and assessing the needs of affected businesses. Force Main Replacement Projects Coming Soon
Force mains are pressurized pipes that use mechanical pumps to keep sewer water flowing through them. All pipes degrade over time, eventually needing repair or replacement. There pipes have reached their end of useful service life.
The Engineering Division has planned two projects to replace several force mains across the City. During construction, please use caution and follow all detour signs.
