Dunedin Parks & Rec offers an array of recreational programs and classes at our Rec Centers that cater to people of all ages. Alongside these wonderful services, we also provide parks and playgrounds to enjoy and use for hiking, biking, playing and picnicking.

Friday, September 15 Doors Open: 6:00 pm Movie Starts: at dark
Don't miss this month's Float-In Movie: Hocus Pocus at Highlander Pool. Enjoy games, trivia, and the movie while poolside with your friends and family. Single person pool floats allowed. Concessions will be available.

Tennis for Kids, Teens & Adults
Starting in September, we will be offering various tennis programs and classes such as Cardio Tennis, Elite Certified Tennis Training, Skillz & Drillz, Tennis Explorations, and Skills Clinics for kids and teens.
Classes are taught by Tennis Pro, Greg Reardon. He is a true master of tennis, having dedicated over 35 years to teaching kids and adults in the local community.

Come and try an exercise class in a supportive environment led by experienced instructors. Meet new people and have fun while working towards your fitness goals. Being surrounded by others who are also working hard can be incredibly inspiring and motivating. With the support and encouragement of your peers, you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish.
Group Exercise Classes include: 6 Pack Abs, BLT, Cardio Drumming, Cardio Fit, Core & Cardio, Indoor Cycling, Pilates, Step & Tone, Strength Circuit, Stretch Move & Tone, Tone UP, Ultimate Fitness Circuit, Yoga, Flow Yoga, Zumba, and Zumba Gold.

Ready, set, play! Join Coach Ryan Koster to learn new sport skills through individual and group games. Goals of the program include building confidence, being active, and having fun!

Our coach helps children develop fundamental motor and social skills while encouraging sportsmanship in a non-competitive environment where everyone can succeed and have fun.

Ages 18+ Weds, September 6-27 6:30-7:15 pm
Have you ever wanted to try playing the bagpipes or snare drum?
Bagpipe for Beginners and Beginner Snare Drum lessons are available at the Dunedin Community Center. October 4-25 and November 1-29 sessions also available. Students will be introduced to the basics of the instrument, basic music theory, simple melodies, and fundamentals.
Students are required to purchase a practice chanter for Bagpipe lessons; or snare drum sticks if registering for Beginner Snare Drum. To purchase these items, email lothiankilts@gmail.com

Caroline Brown, founder of the Incredible Me Institute Inc. Art Club, teaches fine art acrylic painting to beginners and all levels. Materials are provided except for a canvas, so please bring one sized 16"x20" or less.
Additional classes offered: Oct. 20 (Pumpkins), Nov. 17 (Wine Bottle, Cheese & Grapes), and Dec. 8 (Christmas Poinsettia).

Every month, the Hale Senior Activity Center organizes themed luncheons. This month's theme is "Wild West BBQ." Dress up in western attire, savor tasty BBQ, and line dance with friends.

Ages 8-12 Friday, September 29 8-10:00 pm
Join us for a night of nocturnal fun at Hammock Park. Learn about life after dark, explore the trails using the light of the moon, and play glow-in-the-dark games, all while respecting the park and its unique treasures.

Museum of American Art & Crafts Movement
Weds, October 25 9 am - 3 pm Must register by Fri, Sept. 22
This museum is the only one of its kind featuring stunning architecture, incredible works of art, and is located in St. Pete's downtown waterfront arts district. Enjoy a docent-guided tour through the 5-story museum with an incredible grand atrium, skylights and spiral staircase. After the tour, visit the gift shop, and head over to The Hangar Restaurant for lunch (on your own).
$40 / person. Register online or in person.
Must register by Sept. 22 in order to take the trip and avoid cancellation. Fee includes bus transportation which leaves from/returns to Hale Senior Activity Center.
