The City of Dunedin Commission proclaimed the month of July 2023 as Parks & Recreation Month in Dunedin. The Commission encouraged everyone to visit their favorite Parks & Recreation facility, and they thanked the amazing staff and volunteers who are deeply committed to the growth of our community through service of equity, climate-readiness, and overall health and well-being every day. Dunedin Golf Club - Course Restoration Public Meeting
The Dunedin Golf Club opened on January 1, 1927 and was designed by legendary golf architect, Donald Ross. The City of Dunedin is looking to renovate and restore the course in the style of Donald Ross. Please come out to a community meeting on Monday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dunedin Community Center to learn about this existing project.

Free Seminar: Mosquitos 101
Mosquito season doesn't have to bite! Join us on Tuesday, July 18, 10 a.m. at the Hale Senior Activity Center to learn what Pinellas County is doing to control our mosquito population and what you can do around your home to help. The seminar touches on mosquito-borne illnesses, mosquito biology, the causes of too many mosquitos, and controlling mosquitos. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers. Presented by Kailey Travis, Pinellas County Environmental Specialist.

Painting Party - Flamingos
Join us Friday, July 21 from 12-2 p.m. at the Hale Senior Activity Center. Learn the methods of fine art acrylic painting from Caroline Brown, founder of the Incredible Me Institute Inc. Art Club, who has inspired many beginners to pursue the arts. All levels are welcome. Materials provided, except canvas. Dunedin Time Capsule Dedication
A small crowd gathered on a rainy Tuesday morning to celebrate the installation of the City of Dunedin Time Capsule. It will be opened on January 25, 2072, a date chosen to honor Dunedin's Scottish heritage and Robert Burns. The capsule was placed on the northwest corner of City Hall, designed to stay dry and sealed with a limestone slab and a bronze plaque. The plaque bears the quote, "Nae man can tether time or tide," symbolizing that time keeps moving forward.

Pinellas County Makes Changes to Household Hazardous Waste Program
The number of Household Chemical Collection events at the Household Hazardous Waste North HHW North, formerly known as the Pinellas County Government Center, will increase to two per month in January through October
