State Champion Tree Awarded to City of Dunedin
A few years ago, City Arborist Craig Wilson and former City of Dunedin Arborist Art Finn discovered a huge Sweetbay Magnolia tree deep in Hammock Park's Baygall forest community. After extensive research and measurements, Craig Wilson successfully had the tree recognized as a State Champion on the Florida register. It is now the largest known Sweetbay Magnolia in Florida.

What are Setbacks? Why Zoning?
The City of Dunedin has regulations in place to promote the health, safety, and welfare of its citizens. This is done by controlling population density and the use of land. It also involves regulating the size of yards and open spaces around buildings used for specific purposes. The goal is to maintain standards without favoring anyone.

Golf Cart Infrastructure Plan
The City of Dunedin is reviewing its Golf Cart Infrastructure Plan, seeking to enhance the user experience and potentially expand the program with amenities like charging stations, defined parking, and FDOT roadway crossings. Public engagement opportunities will be available, and updates can be found at dunedin-fl.civilspace.io.
This survey is for everyone – residents with and without golf carts, visitors and local business owners or employees – and will inform the project outcomes.
