The Music of Poetry & Poetry of Music with Gregory & Carlyn Byrd

2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Poet Gregory Byrd and cellist Carlyn Byrd will alternate reading poetry and playing pieces by Bach, Schumann and others. Gregory Byrd’s poems resonate with themes of Florida, of the working class, of cancer, joy and loss. Carlyn and Greg have performed this program for the St. Petersburg College Master Learners, and, in 2017 at the Dunedin Public Library.

Ukulele Workshop for Kids

Monday, July 10, 2023 - Friday, July 14, 2023
10:00 - 11:30 a.m. each day

In this 5-day series led by instructors from the Tampa Bay Ukulele Society, children ages 8-13 will learn the concepts built upon each class. On Friday, students will perform a concert for parents and receive a diploma.

Ukuleles will be provided for the class, and by registering for the first class, you commit to all five classes on the schedule.

For children ages 8-13 and their interested caregivers.

Water Color Painting and Water Ball Competition

Monday, July 17, 2023
6:00 - 7:45 p.m.

Create a work of art using water color paint and then head outside for a water ball competition. Wear something you don't mind getting wet.

Ages 12-18, registration is required and starts July 3rd, 2023.
