Citizens' Academy is Back!
Dunedin Citizens’ Academy offers residents an “All-Access, Backstage, VIP Pass” to learn about their government and the services delivered. The nine week course is offered from August 15-October 10, using hands-on activities and lectures to provide participants with insight on how local governments work and the functions of City departments. Applications are being accepted until June 22.

New! Line Dance Lessons
Join us for an exhilarating line dancing experience! All levels are welcome as we groove to a variety of rhythms. Line dancing offers incredible benefits like memory improvement, bone strength, balance enhancement, stress relief, and pure joy. Lessons are held every Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the vibrant Dunedin Community Center. Prices are $8 with a Rec Card, $10 without a Rec Card per day, or $30 with a Rec Card, $40 without a Rec Card per month. Register online or in person to secure your spot.

Fertilizer Summer Restrictions
The County’s Fertilizer Ordinance prohibits the sale or application of lawn and landscape fertilizers containing nitrogen and/or phosphorus during that timeframe. Phosphorus cannot be used at any time of the year unless a soil test confirms it is needed. Also, fertilizer can never be applied within 10 feet of the top of a slope leading to a seawall, wetland, or waterbody.

Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council 29th Annual Future of the Region Awards
The City of Dunedin has been honored with the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council 29th Annual Future of the Region Awards for Natural Resources and the Environment. This recognition is for the remarkable Gladys E. Douglas Preserve. Through collaborative efforts, the City and County raised $5.5 million in land preservation funds, showcasing the power of public-private partnerships, community support, and regional governmental cooperation.
