The Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department is hiring Recreation Leaders for our Summer Camp programs held May 30-August 4. This position offers a great schedule for high school and college students, as well as teachers and those looking to work during the summer. While previous experience is preferred, we are looking for applicants who can assume a leadership role, enjoy working with children, are enthusiastic and have high energy.
Must be 18+ years $14 / hour (starting pay)
We're also hiring Lifeguards to work at Highlander Pool and Park Maintenance Workers for our Parks Division.

"Camp Dunedin" offers full-day and half-day camps for ages 4-17. Camps begin Tuesday, May 30.
As of now, openings remain in the following camps: Baseball, Crafty Creations, Dance, Fishing, Golf, Hammock Wilderness, Kayak, Little Art Masters, Tennis, Theater, Kids Camp and Tween & Teens Camp. Availability subject to change. Scholarships are available for those that qualify financially.

Make a splash at Kiwanis Sprayground! This interactive water playground is perfect for your little ones. It features colorful, action-packed features that spray, gush, dump and pour water from a variety of whimsical devices. Kids can dodge the crocodile that shoots water out of its mouth, slide down the pirate ship, circle the tumble buckets, and dance in and out of the flower water showers.
Hours & Admission The Sprayground is open every day of the week, with extended hours beginning in May. Admission is free.

Our Aquatics staff is popping up around Dunedin talking to residents about water safety, handing out valuable information and providing free life jackets to children six months and older (while supplies last).

Earn your way to a fun and rewarding job - become a certified lifeguard! Participants will learn life sustaining skills in water and on land. Certification includes Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid. Participants must pass the swim test and attend all classes.
After successful completion, candidates have the opportunity to work at Highlander Pool.
Swim Test: Sat, April 8, 9:00 am
Class: Sat & Sun, April 16-30 10 am - 5pm Highlander Pool

Our Junior Lifeguard Training program teaches and prepares ages 11-14 how to become a future certified lifeguard. The class includes skills such as basic water rescue, water entries and approaches, and proper swimming and scanning techniques.

The City of Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a new Chorus Director for the Dunedin Community Chorus, a 70-member chorus. This is a paid, contractual position at $25.00 per hour, up to 250 hours per season. Candidate must be available for Tuesday afternoon rehearsals from October through April and three Sunday performances. The Chorus Director plans, coordinates, and implements choral arrangements for concerts and works closely with volunteer musicians and a sound technician to ensure quality community performances.

Qualifications include:
- Music Degree
- Experience as a conductor with some community chorus experience. Orchestral experience is also a plus.
- Possess knowledge of music theory, conducting techniques, band instrumentation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to articulate music theory to others.
- Ability to recruit, enthuse and encourage skilled musicians.
- Ability to work independently with various community organizations in a team environment.

The Hale Senior Activity Center offers a variety of classes for ages 50+ to help keep you moving. From low-medium impact, and classes adaptable for older adults, these exercise and fitness classes are great for all levels and abilities:

Show us your talent! We are looking to showcase your talents during the Dunedin Family FunFest event on Friday, April 21, 6-10:00 pm at Highalnder Park.
Free to enter and open to all - including musicians, singers, dancers, spoken word, actors, comedians, magicians, jugglers, etc.

This looney show poses a fascinating mystery. When Barnaby Folcey is murdered at a family gathering at Marlgate Manor, it transpires that he had a motive to murder everybody else, but no one had a reason to want him dead. While dying, he scrawled the letters "B-A-R," which can implicate everyone. While the bizarre group frantically tries to unmask the murderer, people vanish, poison is found in the sherry, and the police take forever to arrive. Meanwhile, there's a secret treasure to be found, a mystifying limerick to decode, and all sorts of doom to be avoided before the killer is finally unmasked and destroyed using one of the funniest methods ever seen on a stage.
