Now that the sprayground is opening up again, the New World Celts of Dunedin want you to remember to take your child on frequent bathroom breaks while at the Kiwanis Sprayground so they don't become the dreaded party pooper.

Parking Lot Closure - Mease Materials Building
Mease Materials site at 592 Main Street will be closed for two months starting March 20 while undergoing demolition and public parking improvements. The parking lot will remain open until March 19. It will close to the public on the morning of March 20, when construction fencing will be going up around the entire perimeter of the property. Completion of the parking lot is expected in late June 2023.

Kiwanis Sprayground Reopens March 11
Make a splash and stay cool this summer at Kiwanis Sprayground located at 1937 Ed Eckert Dr, Dunedin. The Sprayground reopens for the season on Saturday, March 11 and will be open 7 days a week – hours vary by day. View hours of operation, admission and requirements at www.DunedinGov.com/sprayground. Swim diapers required for children not potty trained. Don’t be a Party Pooper – watch this important video and please take children on frequent potty breaks when visiting the Sprayground.

Drive-In Movie Night: Encanto
Tickets must be purchased in advance for the Drive-In Movie Night event on Friday, March 17 at Highlander Park. Enjoy music, raffle prizes and a movie under the night sky. Park opens at 6 pm. The movie begins at dark and is shown on a large outdoor movie screen in Highlander Park. Tune in to your car radio to listen to the movie. $12/car. Buy your tickets at Dunedin Community Center.

Swim Season 2023
Our 2023 swim season is upon us. Below are some key points to think about as you plan for the warm water weather. If you have a backyard pool, you need several “layers” of protection to keep children from entering the pool during non-swim times. A pool fence should be installed around the perimeter of the pool with a pull top lock above the reach of children.

Sunscreen Film Festival Announces Films For 18th Year
The festival, now in its 18th year, will kick off Opening Night with a Premiere screening of A Taste of Love, the story of a Chef struggling to find her culinary voice as a Network TV star. Taylor, played by Erin Cahill (Christmas Bedtime Stories) returns to her hometown to visit her parents. The film was shot all around Dunedin and Clearwater.

Red Tide - Health Alert
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is reporting low to high concentrations of red tide along some beaches in Pinellas County. Biologists with the FWC said there are very low to high concentrations in Pinellas County.
