Midnite Madness
Ages 9-14 can skate, scooter and play all night at Stirling Skate Park on Friday, August 26. The fun begins at 7 p.m. and goes ‘til midnight with scooter & skate jams, extreme inflatables, games truck, giveaways, music, and a snack food buffet. Register by Thursday and pay $15. Day of the event is $20, if space is still available.

The Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department is hiring Recreation Leaders for our Before & After School Programs at Dunedin, Garrison-Jones, and San Jose Elementary Schools. Great, part-time schedule for high school and college students. Must be 18+ years. $14 per hour.

Lightning Safety Tips
Each year in the United States, about 25 million cloud-to-ground lightning flashes, and about 300 people are struck by lightning. Of those struck, about 30 people are killed, and others suffer lifelong disabilities. Most of these tragedies can be prevented. Thunderstorms and lightning are common occurrences in the Tampa Bay area. When thunderstorms threaten, get inside a building with plumbing and electricity or a hard-topped metal vehicle. Following these suggested measures may lower your exposure to injury from a lightning storm.
