Meteorological Summary:
- Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected over the Peninsula today.
- A few strong to briefly severe storms cannot be ruled out with gusty winds, frequent lightning, and torrential downpours.
- There is a moderate rip current risk for most Panhandle and Northeast Florida beaches.
- The wildfire threat across the state remains low to moderate.
- Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 11.08 feet, which is 2.10 feet below normal for this time of year.
