EOC Activation Level: Level 3 - Monitoring

Meteorological Summary:

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected over the Peninsula today.
A few strong to briefly severe storms cannot be ruled out with gusty winds, frequent lightning, and torrential downpours.
There is a moderate rip current risk for most Panhandle and Northeast Florida beaches.
The wildfire threat across the state remains low to moderate.
Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 11.08 feet, which is 2.10 feet below normal for this time of year.
