Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report

EOC Activation Level: Level 1 Activation

Significant Events: Hurricane Michael

Meteorological Summary:

A cold front will bring some relief to the western Panhandle today, but heat and humidity will continue across the rest of North Florida for one more day.
Scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm will develop across North & South Florida this afternoon, but there is no threat of severe weather.
A moderate to high risk of rip currents is expected at all Panhandle and Atlantic beaches.
A River Flood Warning remains in effect for the Chipola River at Altha. All other rivers are receding.
No tropical development is expected across the Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico over the next five days.
