Significant Events: Hurricane Michael
Meteorological Summary:
- A cold front will bring some relief to the western Panhandle today, but heat and humidity will continue across the rest of North Florida for one more day.
- Scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm will develop across North & South Florida this afternoon, but there is no threat of severe weather.
- A moderate to high risk of rip currents is expected at all Panhandle and Atlantic beaches.
- A River Flood Warning remains in effect for the Chipola River at Altha. All other rivers are receding.
- No tropical development is expected across the Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico over the next five days.
