Secure Chemicals Before the Storm
Now is a great time to properly safeguard chemicals in your home and storage spaces. Families usually store chemicals, such as fertilizers, paints, automotive fluids, pesticides and cleaners in garages, sheds, kitchens and bathrooms.
If you want to properly dispose of any of these items, take them to the Household Hazardous Waste Center, operated by Pinellas County Utilities, or to a mobile collection event near you.

Discover the Thingamabrary at Clearwater Libraries

Although Library Card Sign-Up Month is almost over, there’s still plenty of time to explore one of the most unique perks that comes with having a Clearwater library card -- the Thingamabrary.
Also known as the “Library of Things,” the Thingamabrary lets you check out much more than books. With your card, you can borrow board games, art kits, ukuleles, telescopes, tech kits, mobile hot spots, tools, and outdoor gear.
The Thingamabrary gives residents the chance to explore new hobbies, save money by borrowing instead of buying, and discover resources they might not expect to find at the library. From practical items to fun extras, it’s all available to cardholders at no cost.
Don’t miss your chance to sign up for a library card before the month ends and start taking advantage of everything the Thingamabrary has to offer.
