PSTA's Clearwater Station Breaks Ground
In partnership with the city of Clearwater, Pinellas County, the Florida Department of Transportation, CSX, and with support from other organizations, the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority broke ground on a new state-of-the-art, sustainable transit center on Aug. 22.
Located at 710 Court Street, the new Clearwater Station will replace the outdated and overcapacity facility, Park Street Terminal, currently serving downtown Clearwater. Adjacent to the new City Hall, the Clearwater Station will offer improved access to thousands of jobs and the scenic beaches of Pinellas County. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2027.
City Awards Construction Bid to Creative Contractors, Inc.
The city is moving forward with plans for a new downtown parking garage at 155 S. Osceola Ave. Creative Contractors, Inc. submitted the lowest of five competitive bids and has been awarded the construction contract.
This garage will provide parking to support downtown businesses, events and visitors. Construction is expected to begin in mid-October 2025 and wrap up by December 2026.
To help keep the project running smoothly, the contract includes allowances to address underground conditions and to coordinate with nearby construction activity. We’ll continue to share updates as the project progresses.
