 Watch Fireworks Over Clearwater Harbor at Our Annual Independence Day Celebration at Coachman Park
Starting at 5 p.m., enjoy local vendors and food trucks, family-friendly activities, live music and street performers throughout Coachman Park. There will be a free patriotic performance by the Coachman Pops Orchestra on a stage at Coachman Park. A fireworks display will grace the night sky at approximately 9:15 p.m., and a silent disco party will be held at The BayCare Sound beginning at 7 p.m.
A reminder for those traveling around downtown Clearwater or the beach: the Memorial Causeway Bridge will close at approximately 8:50 p.m. and will not be reopened until it is safe to do so. Drivers should expect traffic delays before and after the fireworks show. Fireworks may be viewed from a boat, but there will be a closed perimeter surrounding the park. Docking will be restricted at the Clearwater Harbor Marina from 5 to 10 p.m.
 City of Clearwater officials and the city's special events team are closely monitoring weather conditions as preparations are made to host this year's Clearwater Celebrates America event at Coachman Park, scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. July 4. Any changes to the planned schedule will be posted to the city of Clearwater's social media feeds.
 Do you or someone you know have an American flag that meets the following criteria?
- Faded: The red, white, and blue colors are no longer vibrant.
- Torn or Frayed: Edges are worn out or damaged beyond repair.
- Soiled or Stained: The fabric is dirty or otherwise defaced.
- Unserviceable: Cannot be repaired or displayed in a respectful condition.
This July 4th at the Clearwater Celebrates America event at Coachman Park, the city is partnering with a local veterans organization, American Legion Post 7, which is offering assistance in traditionally retiring American flags. This service includes a dignified and respectful ceremony in which our country’s veterans perform this patriotic duty.
Members of the American Legion Post 7 will be stationed at the upper plaza of Coachman Park, where they will receive flags to retire and have other offerings and opportunities for community engagement.
 The city of Clearwater staff will have collection bins on site for Operation Military Matters donations, which will be given to active duty military members. We are looking for the following items:
Food items (individual): Snack Bars, Candy (avoid chocolate), Gum, Sunflower Seeds, Nuts, Trail Mix, Granola Bars, Fruit Snacks, Ramen Noodles, Seasoning Salt, Hot Sauce Packets, Flavoring Packets for Water, Condiments, Energy Bars, Microwave Popcorn, Tuna Fish, Beef Jerky, Instant Mac and Cheese, Tea Bags, Peanut Butter, Coffee Packets
Toiletries (travel size): Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Dental Floss, Disposable Razors, Shampoo, Body Wash, Bars of Soap, Flushable Wipes, Antibacterial Wipes, Chapstick, Lotion, Deodorant, Feminine Hygiene Products, Foot Powder, Sunscreen, Nail clippers, Q-Tips, First-Aid Kit, Kleenex, Insect Repellant Wipes
