FDOT Drew Street Project for Public Comment
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) held two public meetings regarding proposed access and median changes on Drew Street, which will be repaved from Osceola Avenue to U.S. 19 in Clearwater.
The FDOT is proposing the following:

- Lane reduction from four lanes to two lanes from Osceola Avenue to Myrtle Avenue with a separated bike lane.
- Widening between Missouri Avenue and Betty Lane to improve safety and access.
- Closing the median opening at Cirus Avenue and extend the left-turn lane at Hercules Avenue to improve traffic flow and roadway safety.
Construction is expected to begin in 2026. Public comments must be received or postmarked by July 2, to become part of the summary record of the meeting.
