Clearwater Beach Is Ready for Spring Break!

Clearwater Beach’s recovery is bright and beautiful! Our beach is open and ready to host guests again for the first spring break after back-to-back hurricanes last fall. Most of the beach’s restaurants, hotels, and businesses have recovered and have reopened. Clearwater is excited to welcome back visitors, families and spring training baseball fans who come to our family-friendly destination for fun in the sun.
The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority offers three great new transportation options for people to get to and from Clearwater Beach during the busy spring break season:
-
Free Park and Ride: park in a free designated lot in downtown Clearwater, and then ride the free trolley to the beach. Service goes through May 3.
-
The Grouper Airport Express: This brand-new service provides easy, convenient transportation from the St. Pete/Clearwater International Airport (PIE) to Clearwater Beach. Cost is $8 (single rider), $20 (group of 3-4), or $30 (group of 5-8).
-
The Clearwater Ferry: The Clearwater Ferry is PSTA’s first waterborne transportation in partnership with the existing Clearwater Ferry, which serves Clearwater and Clearwater Beach.

Clearwater Takes Tree Inventory
The city of Clearwater is preparing to conduct a tree assessment and inventory around the city. Crews will begin March 10, starting along Clearwater Beach and working their way to Old Clearwater Bay. Trees will only be catalogued.
This inventory will give us the opportunity to find out the trees’ health and structure and any low limbs the city needs to address. Part of the tree inventory process is tagging the tree with a numbered tag, which residents will later be able to look up on the city’s website.
