Clearwater Beach Marina & Harbor Marina News - February 2025
City of Clearwater, Florida sent this bulletin at 02/05/2025 03:25 PM EST
The Clearwater Beach Marina sustained significant damage during hurricanes Helene and Milton, which delayed the start of the reconstruction project until mid-November 2024. Consequently, the fuel dock has been closed and will remain closed until after the completion of construction in August 2026.
We are currently investigating alternative means of dispensing fuel from the temporary fueling location at slip C057. The administrative staff has been relocated to 410 N. Myrtle Ave., due to the Harbormaster’s office having suffered severe water damage. Construction and repairs to the Harbormaster’s office is underway.
It is anticipated that the phase one commercial tenants will relocate to the east docks beginning Feb. 5.
The Clearwater Beach Marina parking lot is available for marina activity customers only. The temporary parking lot has been established during construction for all commercial tenants and their employees.
Our current tug and barge has been sent to auction, and we await the arrival of our new construction vessel that is anticipated to arrive by the end of February.
Despite the damages that the Clearwater Harbor Marina endured from hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Clearwater Harbor Marina has remained operational and is actively accepting transient reservations. Damage assessments are being completed, and repairs are underway.
The underwater portion of the Seminole Boat Ramp site survey was completed in July 2024. Bids have gone out for the recommended repairs. The city’s website will be updated with the construction schedule when it is available.

Stevenson Creek Feasibility Study
Firstline Coastal completed a shoreline stability assessment of Stevenson Creek Sept. 15, 2024. They concluded that the city should act through a local ordinance to create a manatee protection zone.
Clearwater Ferry
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Jan. 31, for two new vessels that the Clearwater Ferry has welcomed into their fleet, in partnership with the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority. The ferry will continue to provide service from Clearwater Beach to the Clearwater Harbor Marina.
