Billing Schedule
Utility bills are generated monthly based on your measured usage over the previous month. Your bill date depends on your location and when your meter is read; this date will remain around the same time of the month. However, the specific date may fluctuate. Utility bills are due three weeks after the date they post.
Receiving Your Bill, Customer Portal, & Paperless Billing
Your first bill will be mailed to the mailing address provided upon creating your account. Once you receive your bill, you can register your account online and enroll in paperless billing. The steps to enroll in these programs can be found online at MyClearwater.com or by using the links below.

Paying Your Utility Bill
There are several different ways to pay your utility bill. With direct debit, your utility bill is automatically paid from your bank account. There are no convenience fees associated with this service. Sign up at MyClearwater.com/DirectDebit.

Clearwater Public Utilities provides all of your water, sewer, and reclaimed water needs. To report a water emergency, call our 24/7 emergency dispatch line at (727) 462-6633.

 Our sanitation teams at Clearwater Solid Waste and Recycling work hard to keep our city bright and beautiful.

 Clearwater Gas System provides reliable natural gas service to homeowners and business owners in Clearwater and surrounding cities. To find out if natural gas is available in your area, visit ClearwaterGas.com or call (727) 562-4900. To report a gas leak, call our 24/7 emergency dispatch line at (727) 462-6633.

Consider setting up a donation to the We Care Fund, which assists customers who have encountered hardships that make paying for basic utilities a challenge. The program is administered through the Salvation Army.

Rates
 The charges on your bill are based on the services available and your consumption. Each service provided has a minimum availability charge to recover a portion of the fixed costs of providing the service to the location.
Locations in city limits with a meter that is 5/8th inch will receive a minimum bill for usage from 0-4 units (0 to 2,992 gallons). As of October 2023, the minimum bill for Clearwater utility customers in city limits is $117.84. The charges that make up the minimum bill are the following:
- Water: $26.58
- Wastewater: $36.60
- Solid Waste $34.62
- Recycling $3.51
- Storm water $13.87
- Utility tax $2.66
Availability fees may apply for water, reclaimed, and other services. Rates are subject to change, based on location, meter size and measured usage.
