Clearwater Library Summer Reading Program Begins June 3!
Adventure is closer than you may realize at the Clearwater Public Library System this summer. Patrons of all ages can explore the theme of “Adventure Awaits” all summer long during the library's Summer Reading Program. Free library programs and reading challenges encourage readers to step out of their comfort zones, visit new places or try new activities.
The Summer Reading Program begins June 3 and runs through the end of July. Sign up begins on June 3. To help track summer reading and earn prizes in the process, the library is offering a summer challenge, which can be accessed through Beanstack. It is a free online service that offers unique and fun ways to connect children, teens and adults with books, activities and challenges.
Participants can earn online badges and prizes along the way. Children ages 12 and younger can earn something from the prize machine for every five days of reading, and special prizes at 15 and 30 days, including a Threshers baseball game coupon. Teen prizes include a set of earbuds and a Threshers baseball game coupon. After 50 days of reading, teens will earn a sports drawstring bag. Adults will receive a welcome gift when they sign up, earn online badges and can become eligible for prizes drawings.
