Apply for the North Greenwood CRA Citizen Advisory Committee

Are you a resident of the North Greenwood area looking to make a difference in your community? Apply to serve on the North Greenwood Community Redevelopment Area Citizen Action Committee. The committee will make recommendations to the Clearwater Community Redevelopment Agency regarding their budget, amendments, plan and programs.

Reverse-Angled Parking in Downtown Gateway
You may see some new signs along Cleveland Street as you approach downtown, indicating that you should back into your parking space. This style of parking – reverse-angled parking – may be new to Clearwater, but it’s been in use in cities all over the country. You will now find reverse-angle parking spots along Cleveland Street from Missouri Avenue to Lady Mary Avenue and also at Crest Lake Park.

The Mercado

Construction on The Mercado, a flexible public gathering place in the area, has not yet begun. It will be located at the intersection of Cleveland Street and Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. The city is in the process of establishing a contract with a project manager, which the city hopes to bring forward for City Council approval in early 2024. If approved, construction on The Mercado is anticipated to begin in Spring 2024 and wrap up by Fall 2024.

Improvements for Pedestrians and Cyclists

A number of pedestrian improvements have been made within the Downtown Gateway corridor.
You will now notice many separate, designated bicycle and pedestrian paths on both side of Cleveland Street and Gulf to Bay Boulevard. These are marked with bright green paint. In many areas, these paths are separated from the street and from one another with plantings for maximum safety and user comfort.

Greenwood Grove Presents - The ManGrove

The ManGrove is a free 8-week program for men 18+ to get together and talk about contemporary issues in men's health and wellbeing. The program is held at the Willa Carson Health and Wellness Center in North Greenwood, Clearwater, FL.
This program is provided by Greenwood Grove, a non-profit organization that provides support to communities in the North Greenwood Area.
