Downtown Clearwater brings a refreshing array of events and programs this November. Check out the newest murals inside Coachman Park, new opportunities for fitness and get ready for Thanksgiving. Coachman Park received a mural makeover last Sunday, October 29 during the Art in the Park event, that showcased stunning live mural paintings by three talented artists. This event brought together 40 local vendors and artisans, displaying a diverse array of creations.
Ernesto Maranje
Ernesto Maranje is a Cuban-American artist born in Chicago. Ernesto’s work explores flora and fauna, biological evolution and plant and animal relationships. He renders these ideas with acrylic and spray paint on large-scale murals and canvases.

Sonny Sundancer
Sonny Sundancer, is renowned for his magnificent large-scale wildlife murals and detailed oil paintings. His art blends realism with abstraction which can be found in galleries and streets worldwide, from South Africa to New York.

Alyssa Marie
Alyssa is from Littleton, Colorado. She moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 2017 where she followed her love of the ocean and color. She now works on community murals all around the country.

The Citizen Action Committee makes recommendations to the Clearwater Community Redevelopment Agency regarding their budget, amendments, plan and programs. |
Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
The Hispanic Heritage Cultural Celebration was held in Crest Lake Park last month with more than 3,000 people in attendance. Clearwater Compost Bin Giveaway
Giveaway open to the first 150 Clearwater residents, who completed the online Clearwater Creates Compost course by Nov. 16. The compost bins will be distributed Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Clearwater Solid Waste and Recycling Center at 1701 N. Hercules Ave.

The Market Marie has moved to Coachman Park, celebrating its third home within Downtown Clearwater. Last month’s market welcomed more than 3,000 attendees to enjoy 100+ local vendors, fresh produce, live DJ, pet adoptions, kids’ area, pumpkin patch and more.
