Staff Changes
As you likely already know, the City Council terminated Jon Jennings and appointed Jennifer Poirrier to serve as interim city manager. Staff then was directed to begin the recruitment process to permanently fill the position. This will be discussed at the Feb. 13 City Council Meeting.
The Solid Waste & Recycling Department also has had changes to its administration. Micah Maxwell has been appointed interim director of Clearwater Solid Waste/Recycling. Kervin St. Amie has been appointed the new assistant director on the solid waste and recycling side, and Peter Bardou has been appointed the new assistant director on the general services and fleet operations side. Please give them your support as the department works through many changes.

Work, Change and Stress
Change can be stressful, especially at work, and our organization has seen many changes recently. If you are feeling stressed out, feel free to use one of your benefits, the Employee Assistance Program.
You can talk to a therapist and gain access to tools to help ease your mind. You also have access to massages at the Municipal Services Building (employees get a $10 discount), and mental health resources such as Happify and Ginger. Contact Human Resources or Wellness Coordinator Leo Garrison with questions.

Just bring a brown-bag lunch and informally chat with Interim City Manager Jennifer Poirrier about your questions or concerns. Be sure to get permission from your supervisor to maintain operational staffing levels.

Motivate Me Begins
Earn up to $200 in wellness incentives through Cigna’s Motivate Me program. A “gatekeeper” activity must be completed first, which is a wellness screening and online health assessment.
