Memorial Day Office Closures
 All Clay County government offices will be closed on Monday, May 31, 2021, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Closures will include the County Administration Building and Public Works Department, Clerk of Court and Comptroller’s Office, Clay County Courthouse, Property Appraiser, Tax Collector, Supervisor of Elections, and Sheriff’s Office Non-Emergency Administration Offices. Offices will reopen and resume regular business hours on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
Clay County Public Libraries will also be closed on Monday, May 31, and no materials will be due on that day. Libraries will reopen on Tuesday, June 1, at 10 a.m.
The Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility will be open normal operating hours (7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) and Advanced Disposal Services will collect wastes and recyclables as usual. Please remember to place materials at the curb by 6 a.m. on your scheduled pick-up day.
Memorial Day, observed on the last Monday of May, is a federal holiday in the United States set aside to honor the men and women who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
The Clay County Board of County Commissioners encourages all citizens to participate in the National Moment of Remembrance at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 31, 2021, to pause for one minute in an act of national unity to remember those who have died in military service to the United States.
