Weatherization Assistance Program
In the coldest weeks of the year, thermostats run high and so can the bills attached to them. Harsh weather conditions create burdens for all Delawareans, and some burdens are felt more than others. Staying warm can be an expensive undertaking, and budgeting large monthly payments towards a livable room temperature often leaves little money to address the root of the problem. Our Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) seeks to provide much-needed relief to low-income households stuck in that cycle. WAP takes clients from costly home maintenance to productive home improvements. Learn more at de.gov/wap.

Green Energy Program
Our Green Energy Program supports projects that enhance new and emerging renewable energy technologies. In 2023, the Green Energy Program received more than 1,000 applications from Delawareans who installed photovoltaic systems. There are advantages to solar including cost savings, increased property value and numerous environmental benefits. The fund also includes two different pathways for qualifying families to receive a cost-free or reduced-cost solar installation on their homes. Learn more at de.gov/greenenergy.

Energy Efficiency Investment Fund
Our Energy Efficiency Investment Fund (EEIF) is a rebate program that provides financial assistance to Delaware non-residential entities (i.e. commercial, industrial, non-profits, etc.) seeking to replace aging, inefficient equipment with energy efficient alternatives. Since its inception in 2011, EEIF has been proud to serve every eligible Delawarean that pays into the Public Utility Tax (PUT), regardless of facility size. The main purpose of EEIF is to improve the energy efficiency of businesses by reducing energy consumption, maximizing energy savings, and improving environmental performance. Learn more at de.gov/eeif.
