Dear neighbors,
Due to lack of quorum at our scheduled April 2025 meeting, we are holding a special abbreviated public meeting to consider applications before the ANC as well as hold an election for the role of Secretary. The meeting will be virtual only. To access the Zoom and register, please click here.
If you have an interest in any of the following items, please be sure to join the meeting on Wednesday, May 7, at 6:30 pm.

We will resume our usual meeting on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in our usual hybrid format on May 21.
- Election of ANC 4D Secretary
- Applications:
- ABRA-090806, Centeno’s
- ABRA-129639, Epic Lounge. Note that I am requesting that the commission vote to support a negotiation towards a settlement agreement with Epic Lounge, which is requesting substantially extended hours, to ensure that any disruptions (particularly noise) to the surrounding neighborhood are limited. You can see a draft of my request letter here. If you have questions or ideas, please join the meeting to discuss, or contact me separately. I've enjoyed my visits to Epic Lounge so far and am planning others, and am eager to work with its owner to efficiently get to a settlement agreement.

- Note that there are also several upcoming ABRA license renewals that we will discuss in more detail at our May 21 meeting, but if you have an interest in how the commission responds to these renewal requests you can join and share comments next week: Mariachi, Abegaz & Chola, District Dispensary, The Highlands, Atxondo.
- I will also briefly be discussing the construction and traffic impacts at Barnard Elementary, 430 Decatur St NW. While the school is not in SMD 4D04, I also serve as the Vice President for the PTA at Barnard Elementary, and am familiar with the plans for the site.

ANC 4D next executive planning session will take place on May 7, 2025 immediately following this meeting. No votes on Commission business take place during this meeting, but it is open to the public; if anybody wishes to attend, please contact your ANC Commissioner.
