BACK TO SCHOOL FARM DAY
KonsiderDis and Washington Parks & People will host a Back to School Farm Day this Saturday, August 26, 2023, 2PM to 6PM at the Marvin Gaye Greening Center, 5000 Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave NE. Free food, haircuts, games, bookbags and supplies.
BACK TO SCHOOL FEST IN MARVIN GAYE PARK
DC Office of Planning (OP) will host a Back to School Fest in Marvin Gaye Park this Saturday, August 26, 2023, 2PM to 6PM at the Peanut, 50th St. & Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave NE.
This event will have family fun, games, food and a BIG school supply give-away. Plus - Activation of Marvin Gaye Park.
OP is requesting the community's vision, thoughts, and ideas for Marvin Gaye Park and Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave Small Area Plan.

Join us in celebrating HD Woodson becoming the first DC Public School (DCPS) with our own street name, honoring the heritage and tradition of our great high school. Friday, August 25, 2023, 11:30AM. 540 55th St. NE (meet at the school front steps).
POWHERFUL
D.C. Divas presents POWHERFUL, a two-day FREE Football Fundamentals Clinic for girls and women, August 26-27, 2023, 8:30AM to 3:30PM at Deanwood Recreation Center, 1350 49th St. NE. Free Back to School backpacks and lunch will be provided. You must register to secure your spot.

CRAFT CORNER END OF THE YEAR BLOWOUT
Come enjoy a year end celebration of crafting on September 7, 2023, 6:15PM to 7:45PM at Deanwood Library, 1350 49th St. NE. Everyone will choose from a variety of crafts to enjoy creating for adults 21 and over.
