How Living in DC Metro Compares to other Major Cities
DC government data is used in the Urban Observatory for a side-by-side comparison.

A new web application, the Urban Observatory, allows us to quickly compare how living in the DC metropolitan area differs from other major cities around the world.  DC government's publicly available data is a contributor to the Urban Observatory - a credit to DC's open data policy.  As a visualization tool, residents can browse qualitative data of different indicators such as demographics, park availability and highway access in 1, 3, 5 to 10 minutes.  The application was developed by Radical Media and Esri; learn more about the organization by visiting http://www.urbanobservatory.org/

Take a look at the Urban Observatory and start comparing.
