Experts to Provide Consumers with Tutorial of New Online Health Insurance Marketplace
WHAT/WHO: DC Health Link, the District’s new online health insurance marketplace, is offering the first in a series of free in-person information sessions for individuals, families and small business owners. Participants will learn first-hand how to search for health plans, compare choices, and enroll in the plan of their choice. Consumers will also learn about their new rights and responsibilities under the new health law.
WHEN: Thursday, October 3, 2013 -3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
WHERE: Dorothy I. Height Benning Library -3935 Benning Rd., NE
BACKGROUND: In partnership with DC Public Library, DC Health Link will host a series of educational sessions to help consumers and small business owners to become familiar with the new online marketplace and the enrollment process. The session will provide participants with information on the Affordable Care Act (ACA), DC Health Link, private health insurance and new Medicaid options.
Trained and certified DC Health Link Assisters, brokers and staff will be on site to answer questions and provide enrollment support.
