Some DC DMV Fees to Change on Monday, March 30, 2026
Due to action by the DC Council, effective March 30, 2026, the following DC DMV fees will change:
- Title and Duplicate Title Fees
- Student, Take-Home and Part Time DC Resident Reciprocity
- Residential Parking Permits (RPP)
- Driver License and Registration Reinstatement
- Duplicate Registrations, Replacement Tags and Dealer Proof of Ownership
- Vehicle Registrations
Some transactions will experience a fee increase or decrease; while others stay the same. Renew today before the fee change. Previously sent notices will be valid until Sunday, March 29, 2026. The fees listed below will change on Monday, March 30, 2026.
