DLCP Important Notice: Security Program Transition to Digital Identification Cards

DLCP/OPL Security Program No Longer Print and Distribute Hard Copy Identification Cards

Dear Licensee:

This notice serves to inform all security officers and licensed security agencies that the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection (DLCP) no longer prints hard copy identification cards.

Instead, DLCP now issues digital licenses, which can be accessed by logging into your account through AccessDC.

You can view and print your digital license online as follows:

1. Log in to your Access DC account
2. Open the Occupational and Professional Licenses search page
3. Click the “My Licenses” tab displayed at the top of the page
4. Select the license you want to print
5. Select the digital license size

Digital license can be printed in any of the following sizes:

• Wallet size
• 5x7
• 8x10

For officers who are required to display their license on their person while on duty, the printed digital license may be laminated for durability and ease of use.
