Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge Preventive Maintenance January 12 - 16

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventive maintenance construction activities during the period of Jan 12-16, 2026, weather permitting.

Operation hours and locations are listed below:

11^th Street over Anacostia River (BR 1415), temporary single lane closures on January 12 and 13, 2026 during the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting for bridge preventive maintenance work and bridge scupper cleaning.

 I-695 over Anacostia River Bridges (BR 1416/1417), temporary single lane closures on January 14 and 15, 2026during the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting for bridge preventive maintenance work and bridge scupper cleaning.

I-695 over 11^th Street (BR 1433), temporary single lane closures on January 16, 2026 during the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting for bridge preventive maintenance work and bridge scupper cleaning.

M St. over S. Capitol St. (BR 11), temporary single lane closures on January 12 thru 16, during the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting for bridge preventive maintenance work.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
