Weekday Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge Inspections
Beginning November 24, 2025

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is temporarily closing single lanes on the following roadways for bridge inspections:

K Street, NW below 22nd and 24th Street, alternating right and left lane closures of Eastbound and Westbound K Street, NW below 22nd and 24th Street on Monday, November 24, 2025, and Tuesday, November 25, 2025, during the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Anacostia Freeway over East Capitol Street SE, alternating right and left shoulder closures of Northbound and Southbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295) over East Capitol Street SE on Monday, November 24, 2025, and Tuesday, November 25, 2025, during the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Anacostia Freeway (I-295) under the Pedestrian Bridge near 16^th Street SE, alternating right and left closures of the exit/on ramp lanes of Anacostia Freeway (I-295) to/from Northbound and Southbound I-695 under the Pedestrian Bridge near 16^th Street SE and alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound and Southbound Anacostia Freeway under the Pedestrian Bridge near 16^th Street SE on Monday, November 24, 2025, and Tuesday, November 25, 2025, during the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow for additional travel time, and consider alternative routes.

Traffic controls, including signage, will be in place to guide motorists safely through the work zones. All roadway users are advised to stay alert and be observant of signage and work zones while traveling in this area.
