Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (I-66) Scheduled Closures of George Washington Memorial Parkway at Route 50 Ramp
(WASHINGTON, DC) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close all lanes of George Washington Memorial Parkway at the crossing of eastbound Route 50 Ramp over the Parkway on Thursday October 16, 2025, at 11 AM for approximately 15 minutes.
In addition to this short duration closure, on Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday October 16 the right lane on southbound (inbound) will be closed between 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM and the right lane on northbound (outbound) will be closed between 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM. These closures are necessary for the installation of overhead protection shield equipment on the overhead ramp bridge.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the closure window. DDOT encourages all travelers to stay alert and follow posted signage for safe and efficient travel through the area.
