Temporary Bike Lane Closures on 9th Street NW from Oct. 6 through Oct. 18.
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close east side bike lanes on 9th Street NW between L and M Streets NW from Oct. 6 through Oct. 18 ahead of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
Traffic controls, including detour signage, will be in place to guide bicyclists safely around the closure. Flex posts on the east side of 9th Street NW between L Street and M Street will be removed and replaced with cones when the lanes are not available for bicycle use.
These temporary closures are needed to accommodate oversized vehicle access, wide load staging, and operational needs associated with the AUSA Annual Meeting. All roadway users are advised to stay alert and be observant of signage and traffic control officers in the area.
