Temporary Road Closures Along 16th Street NW and Piney Branch Parkway for Saturday, October 4, 2025
(WASHINGTON, DC) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will implement the following temporary road closures along 16th Street NW, between Arkansas Avenue NW and Spring Road NW, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
- 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - curb lane closures NB
- 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - curb lane closures on SB
This work is being done to enable the contractor to perform the final seeding and sodding work on the 16th Street Bridge project. Drivers are advised to follow roadway signs to navigate around the construction zone.
Northbound and Southbound traffic will be permitted within the designated work hours. Emergency vehicles and pedestrians will maintain access throughout the construction period.
Traffic controls and signage will be in place to guide motorists and pedestrians safely through the work zone. All roadway users are advised to stay alert and be observant of signage and work zones while traveling in this area. Drivers are urged to use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful of construction personnel.
