Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (I-66) Full Closure of Eastbound Ramp to Independence Avenue Begins September 26
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close the two right lanes of Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (I-66) eastbound (inbound), including the ramp to Independence Avenue, beginning Friday, September 26, 2025, at 9:00 PM through Monday, September 29, 2025, at 5:00 AM. This closure is necessary to facilitate resurfacing activities.
A signed detour will be in place to guide motorists safely around the work zone.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the closure window. DDOT encourages all travelers to stay alert and follow posted signage for safe and efficient travel through the area.
