Correction: Temporary Overnight Closure of Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (I-66) Eastbound Ramp to Independence Avenue on Aug. 22
(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close the eastbound (inbound) ramp to Independence Avenue beginning Friday, August 22, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. through Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 5:00 a.m. This closure is necessary to allow for the installation of temporary traffic barriers along the ramp.
A signed detour will be in place to guide motorists safely around the work zone.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the closure window. DDOT encourages all travelers to stay alert and follow posted signage for safe and efficient travel through the area.
